Alzhimer’s Day – 29.09.2011
Alzhimer’s week was celebrated from 01.09.2011 to 08.09.2011. We conducted a role play “ Ormayilekku Oru Madakkayathra” followed by a video presentation on bases of Dementia.250 members attended the programme and adequate media coverage was done. The students attende a seminar on Alzhimers disease on 21st September 2011. A memory walk was arranged on 22nd September 2011 at Manachira square.
Sevana Varam – 07.10.2011
We organized campus cleaning and beautification programme as part of SEVANAVARAM on 07.10.2011. Students planted various trees and flower plants. Arranged refreshments.
Quiz Competition – 12.11.11
Ms.Neethu.C & Anju attended quiz competition conducted by Mental Health Forum at BMH Hospital on 12.11.2011. Students won the IInd Prize.
AIDS Exhibition – 01.12.2011
Students conducted exhibition on 01.12.2011 in connection to the world AIDS Day
World Adolescence Day – 03.12.2011
IV Year B.SC Nursing students conducted an exhibition on 03.12.2011. Role play & health education on problems of adolescence were presented by the students. Students highlighted the remedial measures of adolescence problems in detail.
Blood Group Detection Camp – 27.02.2012
A blood group detection campaign was organized by IV year B.Sc Nursing Students for 450 Highschool students of pantheerankavu, Higher Secondary School on 27.02.2012.
Infection Control Week – 21.01.2012
“Infection Prevention Week” was organized by PVS Hospital from 16.01.2012 to 21.01.2012. Our students exihibited various posters and charts. Students attended classes on control & Prevention of infection.
World TB Day – 29.03.2012
IInd year B.Sc Nursing students organized health education programme on 24.03.2012 in connection with world Tuberculosis Day.
Red Ribbon Express – 28.04.2012
National Govt.is celebrated world’s AIDS day as “Red Ribbon Express”. As a part of this, Calicut District Collector organized a programme on 28th April. Our students had conducted cultural programme in the railway station for celebrating “Red Ribbon Express”.
ORS Week Celebration – 07.07.2012
PVS College of Nursing – III year B.Sc Nursing students organized ORS week programme in collaboration with Pediatric department of PVS Hospital. Department head Dr.Krishnankutty addressed the groups, Our students conducted a roleplay on’ Importance of ORS’& they exihibited various posters and charts on 7th July 2012.
